What are Low Temperature hot melt adhesives?

Low Temperature hot melt adhesives, sometimes called  “Coolmelt”  are a new-generation of hot melt adhesives designed for Case, Tray and Carton Sealing.  Low Temperature hot melt adhesives are  applied at 250 – 275 F and have excellent pot life stability, clear color, offer high heat resistance and are Not prone to charring or odor.

Cattie Adhesives manufactures a full line of Low Temperature, No Char Hot Melt Adhesives.  Our 250 – 275 F hot melts provide end users with real improvements in performance and packaging appearance and reduce costs by lowering adhesive usage and reducing equipment maintenance and downtime.

Our 250 – 275 F Hot Melts can be formulated for  High Heat or Freezer Grade packaging applications down to -40 F.  This makes them a great choice for most Packaging and Tray, Case & Carton Sealing applications.

Our Low Temperature EVA Hot Melts Form strong bonds to EPS or Styrofoam, polyethylene, plastics, and most softwoods.

Low Temperature Hot melt adhesives have Demonstrated –  Significant benefits over traditional 350 F Application Temperature hot melts.

We also have the capability to Coat our Low Temperature Hot Melt onto many different substrates including –  felts, films, liners, magnet, papers, plastics, and textiles; for various medical and industrial applications.

Low-temperature hot melt adhesives are a type of thermoplastic adhesive that is applied in a molten state and solidifies upon cooling to create a strong, durable bond. These adhesives are ideal for use in applications where high heat resistance is not required or where the substrates being bonded are sensitive to heat.

At Cattie Adhesives, we offer a wide range of low-temperature hot melts that are specially designed to meet the needs of various industries. Our adhesives are made using high-quality materials and are available in different formulations to suit specific applications.

Our low-temperature hot melts are ideal for use in the packaging, woodworking, and automotive industries, among others. They can bond a wide range of substrates, including paper, cardboard, plastic, metal, and wood.

One of the key benefits of our low-temperature hot melts is their low application temperature. This makes them ideal for use on heat-sensitive substrates that may be damaged by higher temperatures. Additionally, our adhesives offer excellent adhesion, ensuring a strong and durable bond.

We also offer custom formulations of our low-temperature hot melt to meet the specific needs of our customers. Our experienced team of adhesive experts can work with you to develop an adhesive that meets your unique requirements.

At Cattie Adhesives, we are committed to providing our customers with high-quality adhesives that meet their needs.
