PUR Hot Melt for Perfect Binding
Cattie Adhesives manufactures a full line of Industrial strength PUR hot melts for high speed and long run PUR hot melt BookBinding.
-
-
PUR hot melt adhesive has proven to be a great alternative to many other binding adhesives in the industry; It increases bonding performance and improves overall bookbinding quality.
-
PUR greatly improves the performance of page pulls and flexes to make stronger more durable books.
-
Books bound with PUR hot melt have higher quality and performance than similar bound books using standard EVA hot melts.
-
-
PUR is resistant to most inks and solvents. Residual solvent can migrate into the glue line which will cause an EVA hot-melt to fail. PUR hot melt solves this problem.
-
PUR is Strong, Flexible and has great heat and cold resistance to temperature extremes, providing benefits during shipping and storage. Books stored in cars or containers are not affected.
-
PUR is a 100% solid moisture-curing adhesive; so depending on the available moisture, 12 to 48 hours of curing time is needed.
