Padding Adhesives
Checkbooks, stationery, and prescription pads — fast-drying hot melt or water-based padding glue. Grades for standard, difficult, and highly coated stocks. Call for pad stock.
Padding adhesive binds a stack of paper along one edge. Water-based grades go on with a padding brush in a padding press; hot melts run on Brackett Circular Padders, PadMasters, and other hot-melt padders. Non-toxic, no VOCs on the water-based product page. Used by binderies and graphic arts for checkbooks, stationery, and prescription pads.
Stock grades
- 6001 — hot-melt padding; standard absorbent stocks; clarity, pot life, low odor, low smoke, faster set
- 6073 — same family for more difficult stocks
- 6005 — most difficult, highly coated stocks
Key controls: viscosity, open and set time, adhesion/cohesion balance, heat and low-temperature performance, aging and color stability.
