3D Lamination Adhesives
3D furniture fronts — membrane press or vacuum form vinyl and PVC to particleboard. One- and two-part polyurethane dispersions. Call for a press match.
1- and 2-part water-based polyurethane dispersions (PUD) for 3D furniture fronts — kitchen cabinet doors and other membrane-pressed or vacuum-formed vinyl and PVC foils on particleboard. High initial strength so parts can be trimmed soon after the press opens. Typical application is automated spray and dry. Also flammable and non-flammable solvent-based grades, and high heat- and moisture-resistant PUDs.
Stock grades
- 7-859 — two-part water-borne PUD; workhorse window of operation; hardener 7-560
- 7-866 — two-part for high-gloss vinyl and PVC; hardener 7-560
- 7-883WH — one-part water-borne PU (no mix)
- 7-560 — isocyanate crosslinker for water and heat resistance
- 7-1001 — aliphatic PU crosslinker at about 5%; PS foam, cedar, plastics; pot life > 8 hours; non-yellowing
One-component PUDs avoid mix errors, extra warehousing of hardener, and pot-life limits.
