Rubber is not one material. Name the elastomer family, prepare the surface, then pick an adhesive that actually wets that polymer.

Most products that use rubber fail the bond, not the elastomer. There are three sources: natural, reclaim, and synthetic. Chemistry then splits those into families, and grades inside each family. You cannot pick one “rubber adhesive” and run every stock.
