How is the effect of line speed on the drying process

Too fast: residual water or solvent. Too slow: premature cure or blisters. The window is narrow. Call 800-249-0337.

The oven’s job is to drive water or solvent out of a solution, dispersion, or emulsion by impinging hot air on the wet web. Exit air carries the vapor. Line speed sets dwell. A speed that is too slow is as bad as one that is too fast. That narrow window applies to every liquid adhesive or coating that needs an oven.
