Hot melt, water-based, PUR, and PSA
- Hot melt adhesive — foam and mattress among plant uses. EVA, metallocene, and APAO are the starting chemistries. Low-temperature grades apply at about 250°F instead of 350°F.
- Water-based adhesive — no melt tank. Waterborne spray for foam bonding and upholstery (instant tack, green strength, repositionable). Match the grade to the foam and the spray or roll coater.
- PUR hot melt — moisture-cure polyurethane. Foams are among the substrates. Use when the assembly needs a structural set after the melt.
- Pressure-sensitive adhesive — coating onto foams. Permanent or removable. Related foam constructions also sit under tapes and films (custom foam tape).
