Packaging coaters fall in two groups. Excess systems put on more than you need and wipe the surplus (flexible blade, rigid knife, air knife, bar/rod, squeeze). Predetermined systems put down a set film (reverse roll, kiss, nip, gravure, cast, calender, brush, spray, curtain, extrusion).
